So on our flight to Columbus, Puja asked for two cups of water instead of the usual one that is served and the air hostess was offended and said that she would have to serve everyone else on the plane and if anything is left she can give it to her. Puja of course was raving mad and could have burst into flames. I could rationalize the action of the air hostess but not her behavior. Yes, she is being asked to conserve water and yes she is probably fighting for her job but honestly -- serving one person another glass of water on an icy-cold day wasn't going to get her trouble. I mean, come on!

These are the acts that make you re-evaluate your decision to live in this country. No matter how much you earn, no matter what you do -- you are always at the mercy of a country lacking the basic concept of customer service. What a shame.

You know what I've heard just about enough of? "Baby boomers are getting older". I mean you can't get through a normal day before someone telling you this. NPR is obsessed. NY times is fanatical and the whole financial world can think of nothing else. It is impossible to not have to deal with this. OK, I know they are getting older and I guess that is a big deal. Why in the world be so obsessed about it? I mean its not like the world is coming to an end. Its not like it would make a huge difference in our lives. I mean via immigration, the population of baby boomers has been marginalized at best. Who even cares for them? Let us just live without having to worry about them or being reminded every waking hour about how they are getting old and how that is have this massive impact on the planet because it is just plain not.

Went to the Jain temple of Siddhanchal today. Quite a beautiful serene place though low key and surprisingly plain. It is far from here about 60 miles. It was raining so the drive was both pretty and a bit too long.

The temple serves free food for which almost everyone pays. The food is fresh and good in very traditional Indian style and the cook is right there to answer any questions you may have.

This temple comes as a contract to the Balaji temple in Bridgewater which is bold and big and boastful of its multi-deity collection. It is also very crowded and less peaceful.

Someone accused me of meing stuck where I am as a wage slave because I lacked confident. It stung. I guess because it was true.
